Frequently asked questions

What does Xylolabs do?
We develop AI systems that analyze acoustic, vibration, and ultrasonic signals to detect equipment anomalies and environmental changes.
What industries do you work in?
We currently work in ports, manufacturing, forestry, and security. We assess feasibility by reviewing available signals and operating conditions.
How does a project work?
We define the detection target and how results will be used, then design the signal processing, analysis models, and operating software.
Does it work with existing PLCs and SCADA?
Standard protocols such as OPC-UA, Modbus, and MQTT support integration. Monitoring can be added without replacing existing equipment.
Does it work offline or air-gapped?
Inference runs on local gateways and data remains within the customer's infrastructure, allowing operation without an external connection.
Does our data leave the site?
Data is stored in the customer's infrastructure or designated cloud and is not automatically transferred to Xylolabs. Access for model development requires a separate agreement.
How does retraining work?
We agree on when operating data is used for retraining and how a new model is deployed.
Do you make hardware too?
We design sensors and gateways for site requirements and combine them with commercial equipment where appropriate.
How do we get started?
Inquiries can be submitted to [email protected] or through the contact page. We review the request before arranging a meeting.
How long does a pilot take?
Initial results typically take 4-8 weeks, depending on data access and equipment conditions.
How does pricing work?
Pilots have a fixed fee and usually transition to a subscription or maintenance contract. Pricing depends on scope.
Do you support it after launch?
Yes. We support the transition to operations, handover, monitoring, and model updates.
